I am interested in giving Motivational Speeches, Motivational Stories, and Keynote Speeches at various Toastmasters events  (including a Keynote Speech at an upcoming Toastmasters Leadership Institute), and other community events. 

I. Experience in Toastmasters International.

A. Member of Toastmasters International for 25 Years (Joined in November 1990). 

B. Earned Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Award in February 1996. The DTM is Toastmasters Highest Achievement Level. Have been a DTM over 20 years.

C. Completed the Basic Speech Manual in Toastmasters International at least 14 times.

D. Speech Competitions Experience.

1) District Champion of Tall Tale Speech (Storytelling) in the Spring of 1994.

2) Won Division Level Speech Contests four times (Division Tall Tales Contest in Spring 1993,     Division International Speech Contest in Spring 1996, Division Humorous Speech Contest       in Fall 2002, and Division Tall Tales Contest in Fall 2007).

II. The Story Project --is a local TV and Radio Show in the Colorado Springs Area (Pikes Peak Region). People get up and give a Fifteen Minute Personal Story in front of a camera. It is latered broadcasted on 91.5 FM Radio (KRCC) nationwide, and on the local PPLD TV Station (17). 

The Story Project Experience:

A. June 2015 -- "Going Above and Beyond Developmental Disability." This 15-Minute Speech can be used as a Motivational Speech or Keynote Speech at various community events.

B. June 2016-- "Change of Heart."

COVER LETTER: My name is Bill Baxter, and I am disabled. I hope to do a lot more Motivational Speaking in the future as I approach Retirement. This would not be for making money, but for "Making a difference." This is one reason I have been speaking on "The Story Project."
